Reviews for "Apples and Tangerines"

Amazing

really wish more people would have such a firm stand front of the world's condition, but I once heard. the world is at it's lowest. artist must know that to help it rise.
we can't go lower... there's only up now

This is an amazing flash

you sir are a true visionary. i think you need a little more help putting your ideas into flash, since some of the things in this flash are there then gone in the blink of an eye... overall a beautiful flash, one of the best ive seen and a good music choice too.

This Flash is something to be admired

I can only recollect three coherent visuals (aside from the parts with the box), two revolving around combat in World War II and the other of a man walking through a desolation. Everything else sort of warped in and out, morphing quickly from one thing to another, but a number of times you used pictures of hearts being squashed. Then there was the number three set against a cloudy, blackened sky, and that's when it made me think of the consequences of World War III, or more specifically the consequences of love in the world being replaced with hatred. Is that what this is about?

If it is, then just know that you've inspired me. Only really good stuff inspires me. Just as the bleeding box represents the often-savage world we live in, this review... represents... the goodfulness of your animation, or something. It's really good; I'll leave it at that.

Uppers and Downers

I originally wanted to title the review "A rollercoaster of emotion," but there were only two emotions I felt, joyful hilarity and profound awe. You flash kept me switching from one to the other. Everytime you had a scene with the stars collapsing, trees growing, and birds living out their lives, I felt profound awe, I'll admit it. However, each of these was interrupted by a scene that had me actually laughing out loud. When the kid first opened the package, all I could think of was "It's full of stars!" And Nazis with flowers growing out of their heads, and smiley faces fighting on the beaches of Normandy? Pure hilarity because it seemed so ridiculous (the art helped that bit). I was hoping you'd end it with the flower growing at the end, or at least with the flower growing out, and then zooming out of the box. But instead cruel fade intercedes, and the flower is snapped in half and discarded. Oh woe and malady.

Anyway, please don't think of this review as cruel as I truly did enjoy your flash and scored it highly. I just think you should really work on drawing your people better before using them for a drama. And maybe work on how to appropriately use them in artistic tragedy. Overall enjoyable though, don't forget that.

I loved this.

The music fits very well with it and in my opinion it helped contribute to the flow of the images.

Good job :]
