Need fixing!!!
I'll start with what's good, the menu that follows the cursor rocks, the graphics are good and the sound fxs are superb, I really like the ship too and the backgrounds are a work of art.
The gameplay was great too but I experienced a couple of problems, and they were quite frustrating, first the background is too big, I can't count hoy many times I died thinking "I can pass this asteriod from above" only to realize that the screen showed more room than what I can atually use, maybe you should add a couple black stripes in the top and bottom of the screen, also I never ever dropped a power up when I died (and I did quite a lot of that), I liked the fact that ships get thougher as you advance, but you should remove that feature for the little red "power-up" scuadron, I died at level 2 and I couldn't kill the whole sqadron with my puny little 1-shot laser :( and finally the model for the ship is too big (or the model for the shots is too big), when battling the first boss I died a lot of times but the bullets didn't actually touch the ship
If you tweak it a little this game will be a blast!!!

Difficulty seeing the enemy fire.
Difficulty staying alive for more then 3 minutes.
