Defcon...but not.

This is the premise, style, and ethos of Defcon. The idea of being able to create a virus is an interesting one....but there isn't actually a lot of choice in the issue (seeing as a large selection of the viral "options" have already been chosen), and how the rest of the game turns out seems fairly random. Which randmly selected country you start in seems to vary the success in the game considerably as well.

Good for a free game, and definitely intriguing....I'd like for a better realised version of this. More choice in designing the virus though.

Graphic style was kinda weird, the world map lost a lot of atmosphere. The icons were fairly insignificant, and the pop-up info windows bore insignificant info, stretch oddly, and some times break.

If you like this get Defcon, as it's got the same cold feel to it, just wrapped into a professional product.

Good game.

Here are some hints.

1. Disable humans only, doesn't do good.
2. Remove all lethality expect immune system and the colligant thing, it should say lethality 2, visibility 0.
3. Wait till all countries are infected(you should see that every country has someone infected)
4. Make sure infectibility is maxed out(all expect human only).
5. After all countries are infected, unleash hell by activating all lethality(they can't do shit when every country is infected and lethality is very high).

That is how you beat the game.

An excellent game!

Everything deserved a ten. This is an example where the developer(s) really thought out on how to create this game. The concept is very interesting, as well as it somehow reminds me a little of Spore (the process of evolution). Moreover, the music was simply amazing, really went well with the whole concept of the game.

ever since i saw the movie outbreak ive been waiting for someone to make a game like this. the first time i played i wasnt sure wut to do but i got it eventually and its AWESOME. you are hands down the fucking man.

Decent!

A decent game, but too easy!

Also needs more customization, and sound... i know how hard that can be, but hey.

Hint:
Save points, then turn off all ailments sept' for Immune system and anticogulant, then when you reach all countries, lay the hammer down and put everything on.

Be sure to raise infectivity though.
Don't use the human one, it only raises it 1 point, so its pretty worthless.
