Reviews for "My New GirlFriend"

Nice look, good music

Everything is is drawn very nice and I like the way the characters and surroundings look. The music is also great, but the story itself is slow and I didn't find myself laughing. I felt kind of bad for the main character at the end.

LiLg responds:

Hey. So i've read all the reviews so far and i'm getting a lot of great input. And for the guy who was asking about the Chris thing, I based it off a joke my friend made about me (I'm Chris) - Not a true story but it would be great if it was huh? :)

Not bad...

Well the story sucks but i like the style and the animation is good.
Next time think of a better stroy.

Good

the art work was unique, deffently has it's own style to it. Other then that all i got to say is it was a humerous build up to a funny ending.

That guy needs to wake up

You say you like reviews, so heres a longun

Graphics: Impressive. The cartoon was were clear and well drawn, with good use of colour and line. The character animation was good, with the use of facial expressions and body movement. The background was basically just an image, seeing as the only movement was what the characters did .

Style: Yeah, it had style!

Sound:Music and conversation. Lets start with the music; it was plain and fairly uninspiring, but then again this was never meant to be an epic cartoon, so I guess the background tune will do. Conversation; speech was clear and audible, plus what they were saying kept to the point, no-one waffled about unecessary issues or said anything which didn't add to the topic at hand.

Violence: Emotional violence was more dominant than any other kind of violence here. The scene where one of the guys friends rips the picture in 2 is easily the most harrowing in this cartoon, you can see the pain in Chris when this happens..he starts streaming from the eyes! Bar that, it wasn't really violent.

Interactivity:Play button

Humour: Only really at the end is any humour visible. When he produces his "girlfriend" from his pocket, and we find out Amber is a badly drawn, childlike resemblance of a girl. However, its hard to know whether to laugh or shake your head. What Chris did was pretty pathetic, and maybe he should've been able to predict what his friends would do when he showed them Amber.

Overall:I gave this a score of 8, as it was a well animated and easy to follow cartoon which never strayed from the story or threw in any unecessary scenes or dialogue.

not bad.

you tell me: why is it, that in every second show/comic strip/cartoon that includes a moron, his name is Chris?!
I noticed that shortly after starting my own comic strip with an idiot called Chris (even though in the first one I misspelled "Cris" and decided to leave it that way). if you think I'm saying bullshit, go around the web, see for yourself.

and about the ending:
funny. but also very annoying. it felt unfinished. I don't mean the idea where he is presented a moron. I mean the ending. it should have been either:
1. the paper will start talking to the surprise of all others.
2. everybody laughs at him and walk out (we don't get to see his reaction).
3. some finishing line: a hand slam on the head, a closing circle around chris while he smiles stupidly to himself.
4. something of the sort.
(I gave you only 6 in humor because... well... it didn't make me laugh. the charachters themselves did that).
