Reviews for "Rage 2!"

pretty good but hard

arcade mode was impossible for a new and so was adventure but it was fun just make it easer.

Cosmoseth responds:

not impossible; just hard.

Fun but need some work to polish it

Its fun, but badly balanced. The Arcade Mode was buggy and weird, for when i tried some stuff hapened:
When i managed to get to "rage mode" my character was bouncing around the map without me touching anything.. and even then i could only move(while bouncing).
When i tried it a couple times in a row, the score and supplies i used were not "reset" and the cash continued to accumulate. But the difficulty was still cimbing and i was no match for the number and power of the ennemies.. with the bonus that i was out of resources.
The tanks are broken, for they dont need to face you to shoot you.. just the fact that they are on the screen is enough for them to shoot you (even when they are facing the wrong direction).

The hit detection need a little bit of polishing.. otherwise not that bad.

The fact that when we get near the tank, it tries to retreat is a great idea.

When we kill ennemies we get HP and money, good idea here too, but maybe reduce the number of green bubbles and coins for fewer that are a different color and worth more (a mix of the bunch)? That will maybe reduce the lag.

It is hard, but beatable, i just dont have the patience to do it. Nice work overall.

Awesome, with a few flaws

I remember playing Rage 1 and thinking it was an awesome game. Rage 2 is awesome too, but... it's essentially the same game as the first.

The melee weapons don't seem to have any combo effects, and, for the number of guns you have, they all seem to do the same thing, with relatively simple animations. I was kinda hoping for some true laser beams and BFG effects, but, I realize that's just my personal preference.

I have a little bit of commentary on the "rage" bar as well. It's been a while since I played Rage 1, but, as I remember it, it was a lot easier to get the bar going up - either the increase rate was a lot faster, or the decrease rate was a lot slower. In any case, in Rage 2, the special attacks became a very rare occurence, because I could never seem to keep the bar high enough to use them. Don't know if that's what you intended, but I found it a little disappointing.

The biggest problem with the game is the rendering. I'm running a 3 gHz processor with a Radeon X800 and a gig of RAM. There's no reason a flash game should be slowing down on me, especially not to the 1/3 speed gameplay I was getting. Now, I don't know much about flash, but, in general programming terms, this probably means that your code is a bit chunky - excessive memory use. The objects you have Flash rendering are probably taking up more memory than they need to be. I'd love to tell you how to fix it, but, as I said above, I'm not familiar with Flash's programming.

Besides that, great game. Keep up the good work.

Some Problems.

Here is a list of problems.
1. No new voices (DUH!).
2. Controls are harder.
3. 70 kills for 1 cheat, thats ridiculous.
4. Enemies take flipin' 20 shots to kill.
5. Compared to One Mans DoomsDay, this SUCKS!!!!
6. The eason it sucks, because you get to use TANKS!
7. I liked the first one, becuase you egt to use a TURRET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

good but

a little to hard
