I like the shading with a splash of color. Maybe this can be your style for your inevitable web-comic/graphic novel ;) (Each character could have their own single color?)
Meadow looks so cute here, and based on her outfit, she might for once be a sweaty mess because she's been running around town, rather than just her usual nervous jitters. I do buy her as the plucky yet skittish photographer, who always braves great danger to get the perfect shot, but is also always terrified in the process. Or I guess maybe just a girl who constantly stumbles into danger, and goes all deer in the headlights, but instinctively takes great shots anyway. Actually, I kinda like the latter.
Anyway, great piece, I love the setting she's in. It looks a bit rustic and comfy.
Also, are those words on that wall in front of her? If so, that's some impeccable skill with perspective you got there, but it's a shame I can't read them, lol.
