Reviews for "Tri-achnid"

wow, just wow

Seriously, this is amazing
this is in my top 10 games ever, including non-web games, its so interactive, I love feeling so precisely in control and just love the game as it stands, it really is fantastic...:) well done I hope to see more games like it lol...

This is perfection.

This should and will make it into the 'best flashes of all time' category. If it doesn't then this world be damned. This is a game with a pretty good story; but what really makes this game is the immensely deep gameplay. It's challenging, fun, and you can be entertained with it all day long. The only problem i have is that in the platform level *where you have to swing to the platforms* it's impossible (to my ability) to get the larva. Those damned blue things just won't stop flying you into the spikes; even if you have 'em on a leash!

Wow!

Amazing. Since you submitted this, I've been playing it a lot, and only just found the last tri-achnid larva. Woo!
The game itself is truely amazing. The whole idea of controlling his legs to move him around was really cool, and the physics were really nice too - though sometimes difficult.

Me? I want more. I hope the sequal has more stuff to it, because this was fantasticasmal, orgastic, etc etc etc.

As some guy said earlier, even the tri-achnids expressions on his face are good.

Masterpiece? Yarr

Now i'm trying to find out what I get for collecting all the larva >_> only a complete bestiary?

5/5

Very strong game - A few minor setbacks

Overall, I'd have to say that this game is simply fantastic for a flash-based production. The gameplay was entirely unique. I have to admit that the controls required a steep learning curve. My first few attempts were frustrating to say the least. However, now that I'm more used to it, I can't get enough. With proper timing and movement, the tri-achnid can sprint at a great pace or leap fairly high and far. I challenge myself to complete the cliff-hanging level without spinning any webs.

There are a few minor inconveniences within the overall design, gameplay aside. After having beaten the game and accessed the level select feature, there is no way to return to the menu in-game. Unless I want to refresh the window, I have to play right to the end again if I picked a level midway through. A "return to menu" feature would be handy while first starting, as well, because it's easy to forget some of the more complex controls, so the instructions should be accessible.

The music was absolutely fantastic - the soundtrack reminds me of Yann Tiersen.

The minigame is great, too. So far my best score is 7148, but I'm sure I'll beat that soon.

Great work!

Excellent, but slows down after a bit.

The game is extremely fun for a short while. Then it becomes tedious. It's mostly the fact that you slow down IMMENSELY while holding something, or while in water. Especially the water. Lessen the speed decrease and it might work. As for the tedium, I expect that the game would be greatly improved by the addition of a sandbox. Y'know, levels where you can just plod around, web-walk down cliffs, or throw rocks around, like the ones in Gish. Other than that, the game is amazing. Excellent work on the physics.
