Reviews for "BotArena2"

Not bad...

Quite a few bugs but those other reviewers were already on it.

A big bug that a lot of people didn't catch is for Super-Heavyweight, the actual weight limit is 105 and not 100 so yea :].

**SPOILER OMGS: First level, remember to buy 2 chasises.
2nd to last level, you should have 2 Xeroi bots w/ trilicon and darsik with the other bot Khacor, Overwatch "R760" and a Torrika. From there, your bots should be upgraded with 2 of your bots as Xeroi, Overwatch and Circles. The last bot is the same bot you should use from the last round. And yup, you pretty much beat the game.

Nice, but with bugs

This game is very nice, i especially like the part where you don't control your bots.
But I noticed 2 bugs, one if the game loaded before and you reopen the screen to play and you rightclick play while the gamegecko logo is on, you can see all the weapons that are there.
Also sometimes when you are done with the shop part and go to the battle choice screen, the screen sometimes goes black and then firefox auto closes itself. The save game won't be saved and it only happens as soon as I was able to join heavyweight battles. This was quite annoying as i had to save every single game and reload it.

I Loved it:)

This game was something different:)
this is good... keep it up:)

the game was ok but..

the save didnt work,it kept getting shut down for no reason and this is the only game that it happens on and as jzxu said each level had almost no differance exept for when the healing part came in.
and that didnt do much either.

good concept, but ultimately boring

Some complaints:

1. Despite a decent number of items and upgrades, the number of combinations worth considering is very small. For example, the healing components didn't seem to be worth it in any of the battles, and trading for better weapons with weaker armor always seemed like a losing decision. I noticed that shots don't travel through obstacles. This is interesting, but you might take more advantage of it by offering a weapon that shoots over obstacles.

2. The AI was really really simple, and the behaviors looked quite dumb, but I know it's hard to write intelligent looking AI. It could also be the case that you spent a lot of time scripting certain kinds of smart behaviors, and I just didn't notice them because they were too subtle. Of course these are problems that the entire game industry is facing right now. You may consider giving the user options for combining different kinds of AI, for example, stick together/spread apart, focus/distribute fire, engage/retreat, and choosing which targets to attack first before the battle begins. This would make the game a lot more interesting, and also give the user more of a sense of control over what's going on.

3. Each level is not that different from any other. There didn't seem to be strategies that worked in some and not in others.
