Fun

This was fun to play. Unfortunately the game hung sometime a little beyond level 40--there's one enemy sitting there that does nothing, my shots go right through it and it doesn't fire at me. I can bump it around by ramming it with my ship but that's all I can do.

Other than fixing that bug, this is my suggestion:
-Change the controls so that you can decelerate rapidly with the arrow keys when you hold down space, but once you're no longer trying to slow down (that is, when the arrow keys you are pressing no longer oppose your direction of motion) let space have no effect so that you can accelerate normally. So space would be a "quick stop but normal acceleration" mode.

The way I got to level 40+ (no deaths, score = 160970) is by whirling around the outside of the arena. Shoot as fast as you can click and keep spinning around the edge so that the enemy shots usually miss you. The only reason to go to the inside is to pick up powerups once you've cleared most of the enemies. It also helps to charge for a bigger shot--if you charge a little for a big shot, and then immediately click a whole lot really fast, then you'll keep shooting that same big shot rapid-fire until you stop clicking (or run out of energy). That's a very quick way to clear out the enemies.

Very Original

This is like an updated version of Asteroids, but the 'asteroids' are ships that fire back, a very original concept.

Graphics 7 - The graphics are good, but they arent real realistic, and the enemy ships could do a little 'touching up'

Style 10 - Wuts there to say? Its original and it rocks

Sound 9 - The song is cool and it goes well with the game, but it gets repetative later in the game

Violence 5 - The whole point of the game is to blow the enemy ships to oblivion, but when you do it doesnt really make you think 'Wow that sucker just got pwnd!!!!'

Interactivity 9 - The controls are smooth and easy to use, but I got some cramps in my hand in the last levels.

Humor 1 - There isnt much funny about blowing up a ton of ships

The only other comments I have are about how easy it is...

On my first try I beat it without losing a life, then i did it again on highscores mode and got 3rd with about 645k points...

If you see Complete Psyco on the highscores, then you'll know its me

Bewm Headshot!

Excellent! I was genuinely glued to this for about 5 minutes! Got bored after about wave 60 though. xD

In terms of graphics - 5, because it's nothing special, but I did like the simple, bouncy look to some of your stuff

Style - 8, Although the graphics are simple, you've turned them into something original, and ultimately unique. Nice job!

Sound - 9, I've always said that there's nothing like screaming your head off whilst trying to dodge a barrage of laserbeams. The sound on this made me do just that. Although the music does get a bit repetitive sometimes.

Violence - 6, Would've liked to see more wreckage after a ship gets pwned, but you'll have time to do another version. :3

Interactivity - 10, Smooth, responsive controls. I found myself trying out different tactics to dodge enemy fire, like the Viet Nam Blackhawk technique of spinning around the edges and launching all I've got into the middle. Would have liked some more weaponry though, but I'll still give ye a 10.

Humor - 2, You weren't going for funny, so fair play.

Wow very detailed review, I'll defintely take some points away from this one, it is still kinda beta but theres no better way of testing stuff than on NG. Graphics could defo do with an improvement :)

An enemy ship froze. :(

I love this game, it's great. I was up to wave 41ish? And one of the enemy ships froze, not sure if it's just me or if I've gone crazy.. but it's still there. I shoot at it.. goes right through. but I can run into it! Which is what I ended up doing because I love the music and I didn't want to lose my score orr start over and freeze again. Just thought I'd let you know. I'm too lazy to read other reviews and see if someone else has had this problem. Alright awesome game, keep it up. Byeee.

Great shooter.

The controls, and gameplay felt really unique, much like a enhanced asteriods sped up a bit except with enemies. The graphics were great but the multiple styles didn't seem to fit. Sound was good too. Interactivity was great as you were put right into the game with both of your hands and the enemies just kept coming, the gameplay was excellent. I didn't find much humor though. A overall great flash!
