so atmospheric! it's not in-your-face bloody or gory, which works to the piece's benefit here. it has a kind of cold, gloomy dread that i really like. i also have a few questions: 1. how long did this take you to make? 2. is there a larger story behind this?

Thanks! I worked on this off and on for about a week, not sure about the actual time spent (except that it took longer than planned, haha).
This is kind of a personal painting around the feelings of grief and mortality, so more of a vibes based painting than anything concrete.
This is honestly incredible.
The lighting and composition are really nice--but I especially like how you can gleam all sorts of stories from this dude.
Regret? Maybe a personal awakening? Contemplation?
my "personal project(s)" for the week usually involve summoning the will to vacuum, or fixing a door frame, or cleaning the kitchen or buying groceries... if this is an artist representation, I'd say you've been a little busier...
I was always unnerved by the creature, Granfaloon, ever since Symphony of the Night! And this takes the cake!
