Reviews for "Hungry Space 2"

Too annoying to be much fun

It's fun to a certain extent, but a little too tough to be enjoyable. This was mainly because it wasn't always clear who was bigger or smaller than you, and the boss screens usually rapidly became too crowded with bigger creatures making avoidance impossible and death almost inevitable. It's not exactly fun sitting around waiting for a fire bonus to shoot the boss and then to see it drift past inaccessible because of the boss or huge creatures being in the way. If it was a console game I think I'd have thrown it against the wall by now.

mofunzone responds:

We had that same issue in the first where people couldn't compare the sizes easily and we thought we fixed it... I guess for a game like this, it's inevitable. Thanks for playing.

Yo, great game..

..but holy fuck dude. Level 2 is way too hard. I can't remember the last game I played where the 1st level took me under 2 minutes but I couldn't get past Level 2/

mofunzone responds:

haha, level 2 isn't that hard... one tip is to collect fire power-ups and avoid eating the aliens unti you got enough fires to shoot at the boss.

How the level codes work

The level codes consist of five parts: LevelID, LifeID, FireID, ShieldID and SpeedID. Here's a complete list of those IDs:

[LEVELID] [LIFEID] [FIREID] [SHIELDID] [SPEEDID]
JH GT (1x) D (1x) V (off) S (off)
TR LK (2x) L (2x) W (on) F (on)
OP FJ (3x) E (3x)
FN BY (4x) K (4x)
AZ LA (5x) I (5x)
PB XO (6x) C (6x)
VT WM (7x) X (7x)
ER KD (8x) F (8x)
WS XX (9x) J (9x)
Z (0x)

All you have to do is combine the IDs so that LevelID comes 1st, LifeID 2nd, FireID 3rd, ShieldID 4th and SpeedID 5th. For example, if you want to go to level 2 with EVERYTHING possible, use code: JHXXJWF. Note: the first listed level code is to level 2, because it's not possible to use code to get to first level.

I liked the game and couldn't help noticing the way that these codes work.

it was ok

it was k but better then the frist one so i liked it for the most part.

Minor gameplay problems

Overall, the game is great. Based off the fish, eat to get bigger games. However, I've noticed the same sizing problem as most people. Your alien's size compared to others seems to only count the head. Anything past the curve of it's jaw seems to not count. So, while your overall size seems bigger than another alien, it is actually being larger than yours (and yes, the enemies seem to count the little extra fins, and tentacles and what not), you are the one that ends up getting chomped. As well, the fact that the player's alien is forced a size over speed restriction, while the regular enemies are not, as a little.. Ridiculous. I didn't bother playing for very long, not after the fourth or fifth time where I was nearly large enough to eat the boss, and got ate by an alien considerably larger than myself blazing across the screen as fast as any of those tiny ones.
