the only thing I can think of is that I really think after what's happened Steve wouldn't want anyone hunting stingrays.

the animation was a great change from all the other tributes I've seen so far. The stingray comment made me smile; but do you really think a guy who spent his whole life around animals would want you to go take out some stingrays even though one of em killed him?

Steve Irwin as a great person - and this is one of the rare entries on Newgrounds that does not make fun of his passing. I had to rewatch the movie because the audio was fairly hard to understand. It's almost as if you had timed so you had to have a very quick opening speech to make up for the lack of audio for some weird reason. I do thing the ending was funny, at least there was no punchline at Steve's expense. I would work on the pacing of the characters and their actions. The designs were too simplistic for my taste. I like the file size and think you have knack for showcasing a tribute.

First off, if you think this would be a tribute to Steve Irwin, then you're dead wrong. I dont really get the whole idea everyone has with 'Oh, kill the stingrays!', I'm pretty sure if Steve himself had any say about it right now he'd punch you in the face. I rekon he'd say something along the tune of 'leave it alone, I was in the wrong, it was just being an animal'.
Anyway, I've always said with these tributes that I'd rate them fairly as I would any other flash animation.
I could hardly understand the words that were said apart from the last sentence, so I gave you a three for sound. A four for Graphics because it looked as though everything was drawn with the straight line tool, a square or circle tool (I generally rate sprite animations 5).
Violence, interactivity and humor are out of the question anyway as this is a tribute to the death of someone, so you lost no marks there.
I liked how you ended it though, with the upwards scrolling of the text and all. Date above the replay button. Nice.
In any case - if you're going to call it a tribute, know something about the guy, ok? I'm an Aussie, and I know for certain that he wouldn't want that stingray killed.

I don't think they should kill all the stingrays. Just a bit of humor, but your right, its a tribute so humor won't do anything for it. I know Steve wouldn't want everyone to kill stingrays, but I don't think he was in the wrong since some articles say that a person that was with him said it was completely unprovoked. Thanks for the good review dude.
