Well... Sorry to say, but the holidays aren't for another oh.. 4 months?
But really... It kinda sucked. The sprites where misshapen... the tweens were too slow... the quality of the sprites and the music were very bad to say the least... Just keep practicing. Trust me, I started out like this. Now I'm a 3.00 flash average... in one year. Just keep working at it.
Needs a lot of work.
First of all, get used to using only the same sprite types. I could tell when the sprites changed when Mario looked up, which you could have avoided.
You should also learn to make sure that mario is always the same size and looks right before you animate with him,. When he walks in the first place, he's squished up and too tall.
Other then that, the text looked fairly ugly and the movie needed a much higher frame rate, so maybe you should work on that too.
Having said all that, it's not bad, you have done well to keep it on a decent level of quality.

But you really need to work more on it.Improve the graphics and animation.But I liked it but the graphics and animation are bad but work on it more and you can do alot better.I gave a 1 out of 5 cuz you tried and have good effort but work on it more.

I've only seen a few holiday ones that include mario. I would consider this one--one of the better ones I've seen. Hilarious. Just work on getting the size of the characters right. :)
