This his some good points and bad and Some people love this country for the wrong reasons,
so I'm going to have to disagree with your statement.
I prefre China as a better point of intrest. Let me explain.

Although i do agree, Japan is an awesome country (I was there in april) There are a lot of things wrong.
First of all
School girls exist in every country.... But not all wear the same uniform.
Kung Fu is from China
The food there isn't considered "Exotic" Unless your from another country.
Not all video games come from japan. Although i haven't heard of video games from anywhere other then Asia, because the only other place i've heard of video games coming from, is Korea.
Ninjas practicly no longer exist. At least not the kind whom dress in black robes, and kill one another with shuriken, kama, wakazashi, ect.

Well that's my two cents.
