I only thought about this when I saw a movie about robots with Will Smith lol.. I think the name was "I Robot" , but I completely forgot about it and you reminded me of that..

Decent enough
The idea was pretty cool and all, with the whole idea of actually wondering how we would treat A.I.... I've never dwelled on the idea, but I'd probably treat them like crap to.
Over all: Good Message.
Sure it's a little crude, but it's a good message. Something that will come up in life very soon i predict. But when it comes down to it. A person probably wont beat up their own robot because they spent thousands of dollars on it... But just like Star Wars "droids" will be the "gay marriage" of the future. (As in the pressing issue, not that I'm stating a personal bias to either issue.) a worthy message, but presented in a below average fashion, keep working at it. You got the heart, now earn the talent.
