Sprites and Real Animation

It just doesn't work, if I'm looking at sprites and susdenly they are fully animated, it's like I'm watching two different toons. The concept however was pretty good, just not incredibly funny. I did however find Takes 5 and 6 interesting.

The overall gag was lost on me at the end though, alot more could have been done to progress the plot eventhough it WAS only a clip fest pretty much. BUT on the plus side, the concept in itself is great just needs a little better execution.

Well, for some people the style splicing just wasn't their cup of tea. I like to use unexpected elements to humorously surprise my viewers. Some, just as yourself, thought that it was lacking or distracting. I LOVED IT!

I'm glad to see that you at least thought two of the scenes were interesting. That's better than none, eh?

At first I was sceptical.
There wasnt so much Graphic made by you to be seen, but what I saw wasnt really high-quality. Bowsers Pumpgun for example. The two robots were the best, followed by marios portrait, and prevented you from a lower Graphic-ranking.

Style? I understand Style as the Idea behind the Character and the installation around him. But there was nothing in that case made by you since Mario just had visits from other games or films.

Sound! Wasnt really good - but not really bad. There was nothing special, and the most sounds were from Mario. Of course. So theres not much to give points on. But you placed the Sounds well so i gave it a 5.

Violence - nothin left to say. Only Hardcore will get a higher ranking by me.

Humor - that was the part you scored! The first scenes wasnt that funny. The Spikes for example. Made me smile a little.
But when mario found that thing that i wasnt sure what it could be...
A rocket?
A Dildo?
Wait... "the following Night?"
Aah - so it seems to be mario is an perferted guy

When EVA warned about the ion-cannon, i laughed out loud. Also the DonkeyKong-part was nice!^^

Overall - there wasnt so much from you, except the humor behind it. So I can not rate higher because you just "used" the Sprites. Rated about the "using" well, but the lack of own creations pulled the rating down.

LOL! Bowser's gun was a little bit "painted in place", wasn't it? Yeah, that could have probably used a bit more work... Thanks for giving me a fair graphics rating though. That's cool.

Hmm... I rate style as the type of approach the artist used to portray an idea. Your definition sounds a lot like a plot or plotline, which was pretty loose in my flash. I mean, the block and how Mario interacted with it was basically the only solid concept. Everything else just happened!

Sound QUALITY took a major hit when I was forced to go back and recompress it to fit in the less than 5MB filesize limit. Flash did a whole bunch of fun things to me after that, like forcing me to manually sync all the streaming sound for each specific frame. I thought I had a pretty good variety of sounds though...

Tried to be a little relenting on the amount of gore I used- enough is funny, too much... well, isn't.

Humor is the highlight of this flash! The graphics may not be perfect, but the humor was something I concentrated very heavily on. And really, anything that has to rely on sexually derogatory content isn't funny at all. Trying to revive some good old fashioned clean (yet pretty violent) humor, I thought, was a brilliant idea! I'm glad YOU enjoyed it!

Well, there WERE quite a few custom sprites in the last two scenes. Not enough to get a higher score, I guess. I'm very glad you gave my flash a chance and actually liked it! Thanks for the very detailed review!

This is worht watching for scene 6 alone. That's just ROFLMAO. The rest is just kinda standard fare for a mario parody. I do have to say that your custom drawings were very good. Especially the protrait at the end and the custom animation of him pointing up in scene 5.

Scene 6 and 7 were made almost half a year after scenes 1-5, that's why they have a lot more custom, better content in them. I still like all the scenes, but the last few are the gems of this flash!

I think he was pointing up in the beginning of Scene 6, but that's Ok. I know what you mean- the face of bewilderment and utter ignorance as he points up to the mysterious NG tube...
