Reviews for "Mario's Blocks"

I loved it

I just love it when Bowser comes up at every scene and says HA HA!! That was just funny.

UberAoC responds:

Wasn't that just perfect? Lol!

Glad you loved it! I'll have to make more like this soon!

Sweet!

When I started watching it my first though was BLAM! Then I Watched more and it got better, then the thing that made me love this movie was the command and conquer Ion Beacon. I like hell... it had a nice soundtrack.

I have never seen one block cause so much damage.

UberAoC responds:

Thank God you decided to watch it all the way! I hate people who BLAM stuff without even giving it a chance.

The Ion Cannon scene is still awesome, even after I've seen it 60+ times. It COULD be improved, but I'm not entirely sure as to how right now...

Lol! "Hell has a nice soundtrack."

Thanks for watching and reviewing!

Really not that bad

I for one liked it. Try, next time, to use only sprites in sprite movies from now on though. It makes it look kinda better.

UberAoC responds:

I know that the traditional sprite movie uses sprites only, but I wanted to show the Newgrounds audience that I have a bit more skill than the next animator. Plus, it's really easy to ripoff really cool custom sprites, but much harder to ripoff original artwork and designs. I think the variation was pretty cool, personally.

Thanks for taking time to review this!

Haha, that was awesome!

I loved the robots.

The only complaints I have are the repetetive sounds, and the fact that it was the exact same area each scene started in. A little variation would have been nice.

UberAoC responds:

So far it seems that everyone agrees the robots were the uber-awesome! That's a good sign for me.

The sounds did get a bit repetitive, like the robot servo motors. I wanted to add more, but the 5 MB file size was a bit restrictive. That and the fact that all the sound has to be manually synced. Which kinda sucks.

The reason that there was no variation in the position of the Block was because the whole concept of the cartoon was based on how many things could take place in one environmental condition with one specific block. If I had variation, I would've had to take the environment into account for each scenario. If I ever make a cartoon like this again, I think that I'd use multiple environments. My biggest problem is that damn filesize limitation.

Thanks for the review!

Pleasantly Suprised!

At first, i seriously thought that this was gonna be either a really short crappy sprite animation using bloody death to mario as the only humorous part. When it got to the end, i was rather amused, and astounded by how well this was done. For a sprite animation, this was really good.

UberAoC responds:

It was a nice mix of humor, wasn't it? You've got my greatest thanks for spending the time to watch the entire animation before reviewing, especially since you were about to vote 0. Thanks for giving it a chance and I'm glad you liked it!
