Brings back memories
I have an old game by the name of 'Fork in the Tale' its also a real-life game, but almost all choices need to be made on the fly, very little actual fighting though, usually have to rely on wits and talking your way out of situations. It also has 5 discs and a quick playthrough would be about 10 hours. In other words, this work of yours is great and maybe you should try for something like in Fork in the Tale where you need to chose 'quickly.' Just in case you want to make a full fledged game, for fights, use different symbols to represent strike, grab, dip, jump, etc. and need them to be clicked to avoid, retaliate when opponent does certain movements.
