I loved this game, as much as I love......
......Jack French#1 :)
The graphic are good.....but the drawings on womens need some more work. I don't know.....you're good at drawing males but not at females IMO.
The voice actors (VA) were not bad, but I kinda hate to see the VA's speech didn't match the text. If you can't fix the speech, why not fix the text instead? Just make the text match the speech, it's simple really.
I really felt and love the feeling of mystery in each game of Jack French. It's pictured greatly on the graphic, the crime scenes and every situation we encounter. Yet sadly and technically speaking, this game doesn't really give me a challange.
What I mean by challange is how I comprehend with information I got and how I deal with them. Believe me, I was able to finish this game without even taking any notice to whatever words that came from a person when I interrogate them (of course I read them, but I feel confident enough to FINISH THIS GAME not SOLVING THE MYSTERY without even taking heed to any conversations). What I gotta do is talk to someone, find items in obvious places (which I could find without gathering information from anywhere) and talk to another person with/without the items. It feels like.....the answer is revealing itself.....not I'm searching for it.
Maybe you could correct this by:
1. Adding some false action/interrogation method when we talk with someone, we ought to discover the real method by comprehending any information we manage to gather by ourselves. When we choose the different path that it should have been, it might lead us to game over or different endings.
2. Somehow make locations or items available only when we manage to decipher information by ourselves, not let the game reveal it for us. Probably by converse with others in specific manner or other technical way.
4. Make the destination less clear to us, on the current Jack French where we ought to go is quite obvious really. Maybe adding places with no/no significant relevance and only propose of existence is to confuse gamers might help.
3. Of course adding more code breaking puzzles in which we ought to find the password by interrogate/searching items for clues. I kinda miss this thing since Jack French#1 (briefcase, I hope this ring some bells) as we didn't need any passwords to breach the computer.
Final words, I really love your game and you can expect me to play Jack French#3 as soon as possible. :) I really hope to see your reply on this long review of mine. XD
