Your inspiration was all of the mario parodies on Newgrounds. It's all been done before, though. Nothing new or interesting. EXCEPT...for the water douses fire. That was pretty good. Bring in more ideas like that, and it'll improve.

The Mario Exploding was funny and the fire under water was nice and I really liked the Busting head on the Block..FUNNY!
