Reviews for "[herd] A Look At The World"

I thought this had a nice little piano entry but I did not expect the drums to come in do I guess that is pretty original really and that you spent a lot of effort onto it and I liked the instruments you picked because they all played an important part into the song but without the piano, the whole song would be wrecked.

I think you should have toned down on the instruments because I couldn't really hear the piano and then all the instruments go out for another harmony solo which was really good and I could hear it all over the other sounds but this was a pretty basic song so there isn't much in it so try to make it a little bit longer because it was all detailed and everything and all that so just try that.

oh, ok. I see. This is my first try with these kind of instruments so I don't really know what to expect. I don't really listen to this type of music either, but I thought it would be fun to try. Thanks for the review.

Melodic and slightly mournful

I can see this track starting to build up towards more of a happy sounding beat, but there is a certain degree of mournful sounding backing from the piano here, that makes you stop and think, but conjuring up a very nice sounding melody to it, you've given us a greatly insightful piece that really does convey a great deal of emotion.

With how everything settles down, there is a great deal of musical inspiration and the piano does belnd in nicely with the rest of the track in the counter melody and the beat that you've constructed. With this, I might suggest some sort of a solo from the counter, since the piano's power might drown out this too much.

Great advice. I will try that in my newer version of this song. Although the way you say it makes me look like I know lots about structure and all that, but I don't =/ I think I can figure out what you mean though lol. Thanks a lot.

Had it's good points.

Overall I found it okay, and I can see this having potential. However there were things I picked up on.

That sytrusy piano chord seemed to just play over and over which for me got pretty repetitive. The progression was fine, just maybe variate them by making inversion of the Em7 and Dm7 to maybe stop it getting repetitive.

At around ~1:03, there was a stringish thing that came in. . The notes in my opinion don't go with the piano thing you have there (Em7 with F-Major and Dm7 with E-minor). I'd suggest changing the whole chord pattern altogether for that one section, as it just sounded a bit off to me (only my opinion, I might be just too picky)

Drums were okay, considering you were using the RealDrumKits pack from the FL stock sound, though in time you may want to change the sounds as I think they've been overused and aren't really the best range of sounds to use. Drum patterns were fine.

At ~2:06, I though the string section I heard before came in, sounded a whole lot better. I really liked this section, very ambient indeed and the extra instruments you added were really well put in my opinion. That was probably the best part of the song for me. . It's a shame the first bit didn't really measure up to it.

I'll say it's good, and it has a lot of potential to be something epic. Maybe use different instruments that aren't FL stock sounds so it gives it an edge and doesn't make it sound generic like a lot of the FL stuff you hear on here and in other places. Don't think this suits classical at all =P.

I hope you improve this more ^^, this could be something awesome :] PM me if any of my jive didn't make sense. .

Thanks for a nice, lengthy, in depth review. I will try to fix all the faults listed here, and will submit a newer version soon. I never thought this would get the kind of feedback it did. Thanks.
