Nice first attempt
It sounded like a good idea but it really isn't much of a game. I mean you can't lose, you just keep trying till you win. Maybe work on making it more like a fighting sim or something, that way it would add more to it being a game.
The graphics are ok but the animation isn't anything hot. The music was pretty awesome though.
Keep working at it and you'll get better. Maybe you could try making another game around a different creature fighting or something ?

Nice smooth animation, well drawn, good sound. (sounds just like a sword fight!)

Nice try.
It wasn't really as fun as I thought it would be.
Just filling up the power meter got tedious after the second time, especially when you're told to try again if you don't get it full.
Also what's with "The winner AM you" at the end, shouldn't it be "IS" ?

Yes the gameplay is kinda lame - more like a tedious slideshow then anything else.
Have a lot to learn in actionscript though.
