Reviews for "Dance of Lies 2-The Curse"

This is a TRIBUTE not the real thing....

Although I realise this is a tribute.... I am slightly dissapointed that all the characters look very....animated... In Lillium they all look real, the character's, their movements, the overkill of violence...but this is just a *shadow* of the real one...the only time that a character even looked real was when the girl was facing the ground on the chair. I can say slightly dissapointing but still a movie that would make most goths happy. I liked the ending.

Not a bad flash

Although your flash was pretty good...

I'm sorry to say that as a tribute to Ilium I didn't think it was good, you kind of made your own story out of it, the characters seemed completely different than those in the original. Also the story was significantly altered, the creepy mysterious shadow you turned into a psycho sadist, and the calm gentle (possibly twisted) little girl turned into your everyday scared and timid type. Where in the original I saw sadness, beauty and grace in yours I saw mostly action and tragedy. In the original the girl complied on her own free will for her own reasons in your story she was just another unwilling victim.

*Being a fan-fic you're not obliged to stay true to the original storyline however tributes to something are often best accomplished by sticking with the original plot.

Davo-one responds:

I totally agree with you, your points are no far from accurated. I can only say that the little girl is not Lilium, is her birth mother, but the shadow, as you said: " the creepy mysterious shadow you turned into a psycho" Is a signifant alteration, that's why this movie has 3 versions on it:
1.- The shadow is a psicho killer, that later turns in to Mysterious and gently ask his requests.

2.- As you know,on my movie, the Byrnes Family, has a curse, his heir is suffering Dementia, and the shadow is only a symbol of their contition.

3.- As you saw, the father, is always
a shade, never shows its true face, why? The shadow where always there? the shadow is a total psicho after all? Maybe the father never stoped the shadow, only "withdrawed himself out" and only woke up the dementia on the little girl, that always where a psichopatic killer.

Detail: The "senseless" change of hair on the girl, is a simbol of the stain, the innocense of the girls where took away or, a delusional fact of her twisted mind like a shadow that only she can see.

When I said that was her birth mother I never meant to say that was her bilogical mother, a spawn on the shadow and the innocent girl may had occured, or is just a demential desease that was inherited.

There are more details like this on the movie, I dint make it with a "clear storyline", like the demons on the grass and the punishment figures hidden, actually, I designed it for you people to decide what is the true history, what you said is the "obvious and logical story told".

Anyway I'm glad you posted this review.

it was interesting

it was quite the fasinating flash. I prefer the original Lilium, but this was a pretty nice beginning on the story, wich is my favourite NG-flash. (speaking about lilium)

Davo-one responds:

I prefer the original too XD, But I think that there where something missing on the history, like a background like this ¬¬, Is one of my favorites too (I think is obvious):P

disappointing after the other two

of course, as always, the music kix ass. however, the burning of the redhead (bloodrayne any1) was unjustified. good idea to show lilium again @ the end. overall it was pretty good

Good work

This was good and i'd give the music even more than 10 points. You have the talent (my opinion, i'm not some kind of specialist). Even the failed project was good (or at least better than many others). What I want to tell is that make more Lilium related cartoons and do it just the way you do because you know what's best.
