basic but nice.
I really liked your game and think it is a great start. Obviously it is very basic, but you seem to be aware of this. I agree that some music and sounds would have been nice, and maybe some variety in regards to the shapes of the blocks. I also found that if the blocks got past the line I was left to just swat the ball around with no way to win the level when perhaps I should have died. (I have not played the original so maybe this is supposed to happen?) Anyway you can be proud of your neat little game and I look forward to seeing your stuff in the future. Good Luck.

I have to say that the graphics were good, but the script wasn't very good. I have made a breakout game(look at my profile, it is 'the ultimate game') too. In the real breakout/arkanoid, if the ball hits the left side of the pannel, it flys to the left and if it hits the right side of the pannel, it flys to the right. I made it in my breakout game and i got 0.4 points more than you even if my graphics were crap. And you need sound. I once made a game and submitted it without sound. it was blammed with a score of 1.24/5.00 . Then I re-submitted it with sound and it got a score of 1.92/5.00 .

I like it. Its good ol' Breakout. However its not perfect [nothing ever is :( ]. You need sounds and music yeah, but they arn't the only problems. You need more colour thats for sure. And I do have an idea, ok it might not be exactly 'classic' but I think you should add powerups. You know, ones that make you paddle longer or give you another ball or some sort of laser, I don't know but it would make the game better. Oh one last point: in some of the later levels try adding enemies that come down fast and take multiple hits to kill.
