Reviews for "_Revolution_"

nice

nice work but i really don't get why you named it revolution... i didn't think it had anything to do with revolution, anyways, nice work..

Birdinator99 responds:

Well, the ending represents the revolution (you know, a large-scale change in power; sort of an "epic" feeling that I was going for), while the rest of the song represents the events prior to the revolution (or as 12L0rd put it, the adventure).

It's not revolution, as in planets orbiting the sun, if any of you guys thought that. I thought the AC section would kind of explain itself :p

Anyways, I'm done ranting haha. Thanks for listening!

Ah ths version is awesome!

3:00 moment made me really glad above the rest of the song, thou im mad with the title.. i mean, it is hardly about revolution, more about maybe the adventure itself

Oh, and the transitions are really crystal clear, and made it a complex tune!

Birdinator99 responds:

Aha, so the title is the culprit! Whatever you say lol.

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for reviewing!

Starts very 1980s

I think that it reminds me of the hit 80s track "Don't You Want Me", as that's just the riff that you seem to have as your intro. Working the drums in works well and then completely changing the track from the riff suddenly brings us forward in time by a few years, to something a little more clubby.

I think that you've gone through a large group of genres for this, hence why you called it miscellaneous, which I can totally understand. With how it sounds, perhaps you might take some of these pieces out of the track and make them into tunes in their own rights, like the synth scales that you played at around 3 minutes, since they would make a nice background for a track in its own light.

Birdinator99 responds:

That's a really cool idea there, dude. Definitely something I will consider.

It does sound a little like that song! Weird, because I've never heard it until just now...

Not too bad. It had a lot of interesting noises and sounds in it, but there were also some faults as well. It actually reminded me of a song that I had heard before, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Like it almost sounds like you took parts out of a real song and edited it.

The problems that I had with it were that it got very repetitive after awhile and kind of turned me away from the submission. I find that the ending fade out wasn't really good. I would have rather heard this song end on a shorter fade out or a series of notes instead.

Birdinator99 responds:

I tried a couple different things with the fade out at the end, and this is what I liked best, but I guess that's not too good lol.

As far as the resemblance to another song, I didn't have any song I was trying to duplicate, but if I accidentally did, I'm sorry! It's always my intention to create 100% original stuff.

Holy Cow

Movie-like, is what that is. The techno-y intro starts off awesomely and the synths were very interesting. Then the drums come in, they were good, but I don't think those particular samples fit in with the rest of the song.
The bubble-sounding synth after the intro was good but it had something to it that gave me a headache.
It started getting repetetive after a while, fix that xD.
I'll ask you to do it a i dont' give a crap, narrate the damn song, record your voice, lower it an octave maybe and add reverb, making it awesome.
Overall it was a pretty good song, and the story to it was good.

Birdinator99 responds:

Thanks for the review!

I doubt that narration will be included in my songs any time soon, as I don't have the proper equipment, but it's an interesting idea!

Sorry about the headache lol.
