the only reason this is decent is because the rules are slightly different. the music saved the game. i wish someone would come up with a completely original pong game...some day...

Another gay pong flash
Remakes of pong seem to be as popular as mouse mazes. And most of them suck. This one was really bad. First, the graphics were incredibly boring and there really wan't anything different from the original. The only good thing was that you used the same style as the original pong. Also, the sounds weren't done that well. Also, the controls were okat, but this flash was really bad.

still addictive and fun? or crappy and lame?
the "ball" really doesen't have to hit the "paddle" to hit it,
the ball may get faster at a certain time but it takes to long for it to work, and the graphics rip-off the original pong i mean jeez, you could of made some custom paddles and balls that are really ROUND!
so pong, you say that when people make crappy remakes of the game and few are decent?

As previously stated, the graphics were intentional--for style. Trust me, compared to the Actionscript, adding more 'modern' graphics would have been easy. Also, this is a remake because it was initially intended for coding practice, but I decided it was NG-worthy. Since it hasn't been blammed, it seems I was correct.

Played this a few times. Last play (only time I actually tried hard for all lives), I got 86.
One game I tried experimenting with the ball physics.

-- Gets dull. And no 'music off' button in-game.
++ Noticed how we can't centre the thing so it stays in a straight line... I saw that as a potential gamplay breaker.
+++ Fast acceleration of ball's speed.
---- The game lasts too long, I feel.
I'd personally like to be challenging my high score for a single life.

Though if you wanna make it better, kinda pan the sfx depending on which side it's hit.Either do this via the sound object or via manual volume filters (when you place sounds directly on a timeline).
