It was PROBABLY good
If you can tell the difference between Xs you can jump, and Xs that kill you more easily I would have enjoyed it more. Nonetheless, good game, a nice challenge.

Nicely Crafted
This was nicely crafted. I dont really care about the graphics, they werent that great but the scripting behind it was beatutiful. I do see this as a Frontpage kinda game in the near future. Add some music or death sounds.

Inconsistent physics?
Well, this game might be a bit more appealing to me if its physics were consistent, but a jump square can send you three, four, five, hell, why not six spaces forward? If they all sent you precisely the same distance or had some means of indicating what distance they will send you, this game would...um...kinda lost my train of thought. But yeah, I guess a suggestion there: make physics consistent, rather than hidden.
I hope it makes it through.
