its not all about graphics
the graphics were good but the gameplay was just off. heres a list of problems.
1) when those walls are thinner they should take alot less hits when there thin, not more than when they were thick, it makes no sence, the wall blasting part of the game was tedious, 17 hits to destroy a thin wall with a fire ball when the hammer would have done better.
2) the platforming was mediocre at best, well to be fair, less than that. the hieght of the characters jumps are good, but the amount of time he stays in the air and how far he can go is annoying, its almost as horible as the jumping engine for maple story, which had the worst platforming element of any game ive played in my life.
3) the enemy placement was just bad, i under stand that you had to have a challenge but that wasn't a challenge, it was shit. when the enemies spawn from the sky, make them move to the opposite side of the screen so the player can atleast react, second the enemies are small compared to the hamer, they shouldnt take that many hits, it becomes a chore.
4) the fire balls were just off , let the player use the hamer, it has a lower delay than the fire and it would save you time in making a completely pointless movie clip, thats alot of frames. better yet, let the player kill monsters with a fire ball, i mean, a small hammer can break a, flame can set the monster on fire if it can smash through a stone wall which ironicly, stone cant catch fire and fire is just energy, not something phisycal.
in all this platforming game is horrible when it comes to gameplay, which is what a game is all about, if you fix those things you would have a solid game, id rather mover a stick figure with good gameplay, then an animation quality graphical game with gameplay almost as bad as maple story.
who needs this
i havnt heard a cry for generic side scrollers lately. why the hell are you so slow, and why the hell does it take so many shots to break through the fuckin walls theres so many of.
