Reviews for "Deep Creatures : The Game"

Good job, you've made a pretty solid game.

This game is fun and well put together, but it's not really something I'd like to come back to and play many times. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, it's incredibly tedious to have to hit each pillar 18 times each in order for it to break. I realise the whole point of this game is that it's a time trial, but I think you could have safely cut that number down a bit, or made the fireballs repeat more quickly. Secondly, the Mario style jump-on-platforms, collect-coins game play can be amusing, but it's not wildly exciting or innovative.

Graphics-wise, this looked quite good. While the style and backgrounds were simple, everything was colourful and well drawn. The main character's design reminded me a bit of Alien Hominid. :)

The looped music was fine, nothing really catchy or melodic, but it had a nice, trance-like feel and it didn't get annoying, which is a big plus. The sound effects were fine too. They seemed to be a bit laggy at times, but that may have just been my computer.

In addition to what I mentioned up top, I have a few more thoughts about this game's interactivity. The simple control scheme was easy to learn and worked well, and the character movements weren’t too slow or awkward to control. I didn’t find too many uses for the shield though, so it might have been nice to have another kind of offensive move instead, or perhaps some sort of time-based healing move. Just a thought.

I’m gonna shut up now, because this wound up being a ridiculously long (and critical) review. Overall, I liked this, and it probably deserves a spot on the frontpage. I hope you keep up the good work.

I can never think of a line for here

Well, let's talk about the negative first. It took ages to destroy those pillars. Jumping wasn't really good, once you hit something you were always pushed away or stopped weird which at the end made me fail the jump away from lava especially because when you jumped up you couldn't see there was one directly next to it just a bit higher, so you would need a higher view for that. I didn't once use shield, maybe you need it later in the game?

Graphics were nice, though I felt the character was always backwards when he was forwards, looked like that. The backgrounds were simple but good enough for something like this and the music didn't get on my nerves.

Pretty good, it reminds me of Oddworld

The games pretty good but gets kinda boring after a while. Try giving that little dude more powers and attacks and stuff and keep working on this. (((3/5)))

Hmm...

Well, the graphics were very good and the controls were easy to master. The walls that you had to burn down took forever to burn down, and the little freaky rodent dudes took a little to beat, too. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good game. If it's called "Deep Creatures: The Game", then does that mean there's a movie or something else about Deep Creatures? Just wondering. Btw, if this is your first, you did a good job. ^_^

meh

I'm giving the 7 stars from pity. If it had been worked on a bit more and have more features it would be great but...
