Reviews for "Endangered"

choppy

the animation was slow and choppy. it needs to be much smoother but great work on the art

Philosophy ain't really my thing,

but didn't Kant say that if you kill someone you should be killed too? So in this situation, the man was justified in killing the male, but killing the female was not right. So in the end the man should be killed as well. But what do I know...I'm a Biology guy!

This is an interesting thought that bubbled up in very small bubbles that I put aside after a bit. Think of it this way though: a human to a tiger is just another means of survival. You need food, I need food, they need food. I love meat; should I be killed for enjoying meat? Should the male tiger be killed for finding sufficient food to feed himself and his mate? Just a thought I think i can throw out there.

nice one

well, not exactly my style of animation, but it was a very nice animation. excellent drawings, nice plot to it and a great effort was put into this one.

It was a fair movie.

As to the question, there is *no way* leaving them alive and unchecked would be the smart thing to do. If nothing else, lock them up in a zoo somewhere so they don't get to kill more people.

You may think that this is cruel, since the tigers are endangered. Well, I don't care how many humans there are, it is simply wrong to say that letting a few of them die off so that an endangered species can stick around longer is worth it. The tigers acted out of need, but that doesn't mean it's okay to let them go around killing whoever's handy for food.

Just my point of view.

cfb responds:

I enjoyed reading your point of view. I hope that was a result of me tiddling with your brain. I just want to point out to you, though, that perhaps tigers wouldn't "go around killing whoever's handy for food" if those who are the "handy" ones didn't destroy the foods that the tigers usually need to eat or the habitat that they use to live in. I'm not attacking your point of view, I'm just trying to explain the double-sidedness of things.

Fair...

It should be said that tigers are but one of many endangerd species. More over it's destruction of habitat and islandisation that's turely made such animals so rare. Not overhunting (for whatever reason).

But interesting situation and questions you bubbled up there. But I feel you wasted an opportunity to make something with a wider and more powerful message.

cfb responds:

You're right; tigers are just one of many endangered species and it is very true that is more because of their destruction of habitat and islandisation that they are endangered. This was an attempt to something and a test on the public, seeing how they would react and what they thought. I didn't want to shovel out the entirety of the endangered species of the world in my short flash film, I simply wanted to center my idea for the time being (besides, I've always had a fondness for tigers. I'm a cat person, I think that's it). I really like your comment and will keep it in mind when I make others.
