I think the older version was more fun.
This one I beat in five minutes! OFcourse you can still play the older one. And..... what abot Pico 2?

The greatest Flash game of its time, but...
...it definitely shows its age. I have very fond memories of the original Pico, and playing it again is certainly a joy. But Flash technology has improved since this game was made, as have Flash artists. The 4.52 score that this game has at this writing would put it at #1 all-time on the Portal, and I don't think it deserves that. There have been much better games made since then, both by Tom Fulp himself and by other artists.
But you do have to give it credit--Pico, along with Assassin, was hugely popular in Newgrounds' earlier days, and it helped bring about the transformation of Newgrounds from a site for Tom Fulp's personal things (Flash and otherwise) into the huge community of Flash artists that it is today. Newgrounds would not be what it is today without it.

Up until I played this, I was beginning to think that Pico day was going to be just another crappy day for NG, with a bunch of shit pouring into the portal, but Tom, I have new respect for you. This game is freaking amazing. It was straightforward, yet still had a lot of challenge in it and was hella fun. This is one of the few games on NG that I actually spent a good amount of time playing, which says a lot. The constantly changing music and sound effects is great, and the options you have while playing are great. Very well presented and excellently prepared!

the first time i played pico was summer 05 and that is what persuaded me to regularly visit newsground. I would like to thank Tom Fulp for allowing us to "do" pico as well to play him. Thank you Tom, you brought something that stands out today.
pico is the heart and soul of newgrounds
without pico im sure there wouldent be so many flashs im sure newgrounds wouldve died we just want to let pico no he will remain a special place in our hearts of flash animation and thank you tom for making one of the best characters ever
