Solid tune, but a few complaints.
Well, first off, it was interesting to listen to, and melodically quite well done. Long, epically composed. The kind of hand it takes to make this can craft visionary tunes, and I like a lot of Modem's other stuff. This song reminds me of a "factory" level on my old Amiga.
However,
The glitchy reverb on the chiptune notes, grates on the nerves from the get-go and lets up only in a handful of places. The hop-skips in pacing and timing aren't exciting, they're jostling. Of course, that may be a predisposition from the melody instrument. And also, the warbly baratone accompaniment, while definitely cool sounding and in a way makes for darkening the atomsphere of the song, I feel it conflicts with what seemed to me to be a song that started off like a lighthearted, almost rosy tune.
Though in all fairness, it was a good song and I thought it was more good than bad.
