I am fully assured that many fans of this website consider the original Pico series as one of the reference points of the site's history. Nevertheless, although I actually appreciate the other two out of the three first episodes [meaning I consider both the "Darnell plays with Fire" film and the "Pico's School" game to be entertaining, amusing and creative in their means], as well as the following games by T. Fulp, I could not be nearly as supportive about this one. Putting aside the animation quality, which barely does bother me if the plot itself is fine, the context of this submission is misunderstandable. I turned out to be unable to discover which was the message mr. Fulp tried to pass through N.I.S. and ended thinking he might had run out of ideas to introduce Nene's character at the time creating. In case he only wanted to make a joke and did not expect the audience to take it seriously, then he should have stated it with more definitive means. I could not enjoy neither the dialogues nor the action (and especially not their combination) included in this "game", if it could ever be called one, because to me it seemed more as a film with multiple endings and not a game [especially considering the next episode is still one of the most famous games in the Internet history]. In terms of structure, I think things could be quite improved if there was a bonus animation after trying all the offered options, potentially as a moral or the actual message of this submission (similar to the ending of "Darnell"'s film), however it did not, making my try to understand or appreciate it even tougher.
I know in the early steps of this wonderful site it was not unnatural to entertain people with sensitive topics such as suicide or assasinations, but this submission's plot still lacked sense for me, was neither an informative nor an amusing experience and left me in confusion, thus sadly I cannot rate it higher. I do not entirely hate it (how could I hate a game/a film, when it literally belongs in the beginnings of this site?), however it cannot match anything in the Pico series, both in terms of plot quality and entertainment.

So 2000 ... f*cking classic. The amen break/dnb music really makes it better
