Reviews for "Animal Rights Amy"

GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fat guy was funny but the milk part was NASTY! Exuseme while I go barf.

who eats ground meat plain?

SOY! Dont take what the anti-um... animal rights watchamijigs too seriously, but I think they're right. I don't care if you don't eat meat, just don't ride our backs just 'cause we do. Alright, your animation was a bit sloppy, and you could've bumped up the volume a decible or two. It was funny, but incredible short (or at least I think) for how long the load was. I dunno, maybe a different format or something would have been better. =)

.....

I dont know how on earth you animal rights people get away with this sort of propaganda

I'm not going to be rude or insulting, I'm simply going to point out many factors you all seem to have missed when deciding that animals are more important than people:

1) Biologicly speaking, humans are constructed to eat animals, we have fangs to rip meat with, we even have essential protein building blocks that can only be obtained from animal meat, people who do not eat meat can never live a perfectly healthy life

2) Without people eating them, farmers would have no reason to keep meat producing animals, without humans to look after them, many species and breeds will die out completely

Disclaimer: I have no problem with people not eating meat for religeos reasons, or simply if they just dont like it

3) Most of the labwork we do on animals helps save human lives, without animal testing modern medicine would be nowhere near where it is today, by shutting down animal testing labs you put countless human lives at risk, instead of killing animals, your killing people

4) Lab animals are bread for lab work, if we simply released them, they would all die very very quickly, most of them have no survival skills, or biological traits that put them at a severe disadvantage in the outside world, like it or not, the animals we keep in labs are far better off in there

Disclaimer: I am in no way saying that abuse of animals doesnt happen in laboritories, but just the fact that animals are being used doesnt automaticly put it in the wrong, if the animals are treated with respect and dignity (which they usualy are) then thats good in my books, just try to pick your targets a little more carefuly

5) After you "saved" the baby seals:
--a) The seal hunters lost their only sourse of income, their lives were destroyed, you destroyed their way of life, forced them to go elsewhere because the land they had was good for nothing else, you destroyed an entire culture
--b) Without anything to keep the seal population in check they multiplied out of control, seals eat fish, with so many seals around the fish in the area have been driven close to extinction
--c) In order to counteract the seal problem, the local guvornment pays people to hunt adult seals (without the fur), such killing is fruitless, there is no merchandise from it, nothing that anyone can use, its wasteful
------i) I notice that since they arent cute little white furry seals anymore, you dont seem to care about that
-----ii) Had the seals been allowed to multiply as they would, they would have eaten all of the fish in the area, and subsequantly all starved to death, starvation is not a quick or pleasent death

6) Releasing random animals into the countryside is VERY bad indeed, those animals dont belong there, they upset the natural balance of the ecosystems there, especialy ones that are imported from other countries, and if they cannot be trapped immediatly they are all shot to prevent such damage, you arent doing them any favors, you arent doing the environment any favors, and you arent doing their keepers any favors

Disclaimer: I am not saying that there are no times when releasing or helping animals is bad, but you need to do far more research into the implications of such things before you pick your targets, just releasing and "helping" animals at random is very damaging and in many cases it is better to leave things as they are

Now then, I havnt insulted you, I havnt been rude or arrogant, I've presented things in a logical and thought out manner, I dont expect a flaming

UberStreet responds:

I don't know how you got that this was a Pro-PETA piece at all. If you watched the film or read the reviews you'd know that this is more of an anti-PETA film. In fact, we here at Uber Street agree with most of your comments, cept for the theory that humans are carnivores. Humans are built to be Omnivores hence our ability to survive in various climates.

Next time don't jump to conclusions. Thanks for the comment.

You're my new hero

I happen to be a member of PETA myself (People for the Eatting of Tastey Animals), and I LOVED this flash. I like stop-action animation flashes best (I'm trying to figure out how to do it myself [w/out shilling out a few hundred bucks for software {I'm poor, not broke, there's a difference--but I digress}]). I loved the humor and the style. You use Anasazi?

UberStreet responds:

It was shot using adobe premiere 6.5's stop motion feature, or you could just shot it frame by frame with a digital camera, either way it was edited in premiere.

That was funny

I'm not sure whether you support PETA or not but still very funny... OH NO THE SOY IT BURNS!!!!
