I don't know why the haters call this a "ripoff" or something like that. The explanation clearly says that this is a PARODY of many popular horror games. And parodies contain many elements that the originals contain, however, they poke general no-harm fun at them to create humor.
The humor aspect in a parody is that you are essentially seeing the same things that the subject is paro-dizing, just in a witty way.
Read Voltaire's "Candide." That is an example of a classic "social" parody regarding the French monarchs of the late 18th century and their constant thirst for riches and booty plundered from feudal warfare. Also "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is another great example of a social parody. The reader of that timeframe might not understand what the book is about, but it really reflects the attitudes of the era, an era of "rebellion" against regular social norms and a new artistic culture defiant of the restraints that the last years of the Victorian era placed on creative expression. (The Victorian period really lasted from 1830 to the late 1950s, regarding to culture and customs)
The above game is a "literary" parody, as it spoofs many legendary works of horror literature.
I enjoyed the game. The Lucky Charms were especially funny LOL!
