Reviews for "Relaxtion_With_A_Bass_Line"

Not bad at all

Not that I'd particularly call this piece relaxing, but I'm trying to think outside the box here - there is a good amount of play to this tune, with the whole piece sounding as if it has got a little too much urgency to be relaxed.

That said, there is a very good beat to this track, with some knockout punches from the melody, though with the beat being as hard as you made it, it could have been a little stronger to counter it - the exact reason I didn't find it very relaxing. There was good use of the piano later on, but as it stands, there was something about this track that didn't quite sit well with me.

haha its not suposed to be relaxing

its relaxing with a base line.

Good song

This track has a very nice progression. The changes are very subtle most of the time, but the changes in the melody are there. At first I didn't really notice them until I restarted the song. Suddendly it sounded completly different to what I heard before I restarted it.

However, the background beat does indeed get a bit repetitive in this song.

But anyway, overall this is a great song. Very relaxing and very nice melodies to listen to. Good work!

Damn dawg

I have no idea why so much of your stuff has a low rating around here. I should make a point to stop by every voting day and 5 star your music until they're all at least 4.00+ :P

This one in particular is quite good actually, and I'm rather envious of the various sounds you employed here.

And as for the drums... I don't know much (anything) about dance/house/trance drums, but my friend certainly helped me a lot in my drum composing when he told me, "most drums follow a similar pattern, no matter the genre"

So I took this to heart and did a strict regimen of snare on the off beats and fills (although I don't think I hear a "snare" here). I also made a constant stream of your cymbal sound of choice, and the variety in the drum part came from the bass line. In order to create this variety, I simply put random notes all up and down my shit (I kid you not) and it works most of the time, so long as the bass isn't too loud.

If you don't feel that such randomness is suitable for your music type, then instead try tapping your foot in a semi-rhythmic way for each part of your song and stick that as your bass line. Works for me, might work for you.

BTW, love your style of music and mannerisms on here :P Totally DGAF, but in a good way.

*glances at the song length again*

Now, BK, BK, BK---------->
Not that I'm one to be observant. But since I've been asking for new release notices, I think this is by far the LONGEST song you've done?
I was really excited to see that length.
I'm sorry I can't offer you any advice or suggestions from a drums, point of view. I can tell you something I felt though. The song carried a good deal of strength with it, from the beginning to the end. But, when the very end DID come, I kind of felt like, it simply dropped off mid be-----. See? it was able to carry me on some sort of journey, musically, (as the awesome, fellow below me, said). But that wonderful journey smacks into a brick wall. Maybe that's just me though.

I JUST listened to Jazzy Elevator again. I love that song and I'm still wanting to work that into something. Maybe a waiting room, or yes, an elevator situation. Telemarketing would work as well. I love you and your different range of musical talents. Thanks for another song to enjoy. Ooooh, and that Haitian Relief Album sounds cool. I might try and hop on that train too. If there's no immediately deadline or anything. Until next time. . .

Mysterious Location X.

At last I have reached it. I journeyed far and long, so it would come down to this...

The piano is very...relaxing, just great. Drums weren't bad, they were good. So don't worry dude, this is a relaxing piece.

I have finished my journey. Farewell dear chap.

Box-Killa responds:

Thanks dude :D Yeah i dno about the drums, they weren't that bad, but i still think they could get better. Maybe I should have done some filtering on them
