Reviews for "Kingdom Fire Demo"

Well done....

I liked the game very much, it just to bad that as soon as I started getting into it the game ended, I very much looking foward to the next chapter.

Nemo responds:

I am a little disappointed as to how short I had to make this game. I consider this game just a short "Mini-Story" to preview the game, while later I will come out with the main story. I'm glad you liked the game and thanks for the reveiw!

Great game

Only problem I had with it was that it wasn't finished. Other than that great job!!! Please finish it so we can save characters and our equipment ^-^ Thanks so much and keep up the good work.

Nemo responds:

I'm going to add the save feature when I update this to version 1.1 because I might change how information is stored a bit. Therefore, you should be able to save sometime around June, give or take a month. Thanks for the review!

Someone turn on the lights!

I cant play the game at first becouse i have to open brightness its too dark i cant see anything. But the game is good.

Nemo responds:

This game does not preform well on monitors with low brightness setting. I made this game with a monitor having relatively high brightness. Thanks for playing though!

Very good could use some work

I really loved the game it was fun but challenging and it seemed to give a good storyline. It was also very large and expansive which you dont normally see in a flash game. I cant wait to see what improvements you add in the updated version. Some things i didnt like were:
-You had different types of magic but you dont say which type goes with which spell.
-Music got a little annoying but mostly you ignore it
-needs more bosses and a little bit more challenging so you dont just run in there kill the two gaurds heal then start kicking ass
Other then that it was awesome definetly reminded me of Baulders Gate (great game) Nice Job cant wait to play the updated version.

Nemo responds:

Thanks a lot! I'll start working on the next version in the near future and will try to improve on the things you mentioned.

Looking forward to the final version!

Graphics: Decent. Everything is pretty smooth and good looking.

--- The Good ---
Weapons look nice, and the fact that the gear you're wearing changes your character's appearance is a big plus.

--- The Bad ---
1) When running, the hero looks sort of goofy. He could probably lean a bit more when he runs, and his steps sometimes seem off, like he's just gliding along and aimlessly dragging his feet.
2) A cool feature would be to give us the ability to customize the character's skin color, hair style, hair color, etc.

Style: Solid. Enemies are nice, the feel of the game is good.
No real complaints, except, it'd be nice if you made an enterance to the crypt that looked like something other than a wood door leading into a random cave.

Sound: Good. Everything is as it should be.
Effects are timed well, there are no delayed clanks or whacks. Everything sounds right, and nothing is too weird.

Violence: You're a hero running around slaying all the baddies with your sword, what more could anybody want?

Interactivity: It's fun to play, the buttons are simple to figure out. I'd normally bitch about the lack of a save button but seeing as how you already plan to add one in the final version, I won't say anything. ;)

Humor: It's, uh, not really meant to be funny, is it?

Random stuff:

1) Eliminate useless items. Stuff like the Spatha is about as heavy as the long sword and weaker, for example.

2) When I tested it, Lesser Heal seemed to restore about the same amount of hp as Heal did, but with a lower mana cost and a quicker casting time. Shouldn't regular heal be superior?

Nemo responds:

Thanks a lot for the detailed review! I really appreciate you input and I'll try to work some of that stuff in for the next version of the game. I think your idea about taking out items like the Spatha and such might be a good idea, so I will concentrate on stuff like that.

As for the heal spell you mentioned, the player really is not supposed to have any other heal spells above the Lesser one until they are of a higher level. Because of how fast I made this I didn't get all of the content in the game I wanted, so I just threw what I had into one short story to play through. This did have its drawbacks in that players would only get up to level 2 or 3, but in the full game they would get to level 13 or 14ish. The other heal spells do heal more, but because your health was so low it did not even matter.

Thanks again for the review! I'm really glad you liked it!
