Reviews for "Megaman: Codename X"

never got in to the megaman games

for the most part i liked it!

BadFlashProductions responds:

Thank you, I personally havent got into them either, Thats why alot of Megaman buffs are compaining about how easy Megaman wins it... So you and me both buddy lol

Strandy

No.

The things that ruined it. The sounds, music and "plot". Wrong sounds used, like the marching droids, the shots and the punches/kicks. Some scenes lasted too long and some were pointless. And why did all the enemy droids appear around megaman when he won? Sometimes even the wrong music was used. I think this has a good chance of working if you remaster it, and work on timing.

BadFlashProductions responds:

The idea of the enemys appearing near Megaman was meant to be a sign of respect, i admit that part was not too easy to pick up.

Well...

I'm gonna give this an honest review. I didn't like it much. Mostly because the story was outta place in the Megaman Universe. But I'm a purist on that... But, speaking about the animation itself...

I liked the animation, though it was a bit choppy at the beginning. Fight scene was decently well thought out, though, it seemed a tad one-sided in Megs's favor. Could have done without the drawn out section where Megs meets "X" for the first time. Other than that, I must say the fight on the hover-things was very well done.

Now... the sound bothered me. 'Cause mostly, you didn't have any Megaman sounds! How're you gonna make a Megaman flash with cheap sound effects and the Epoch-jump sound from Chrono Trigger?! I suggest re-working the sounds, honestly. Scour the internet and find'em. They're there.

Other than that, it seemed to end a bit abruptly, so this gets you a solid 3/5

BadFlashProductions responds:

Thanks for your honest review, your brought some good points up. Many people have mentioned the sound. We won't be making that mistake again.

It was alright

It was decently good but, the music changed to much for you to hold one particular feeling. Next time you may just consider picking one peice of music and timing the action to it if you have no vocals to speak of (lol) The other major problem, which was partly the music's fault, it was extremely anti-climactic. I didn't feel like Mega-man was in any danger whatsoever. He basically dominated and that made it a tad boring. Other than that, great idea, decently executed, just a few flaws. Hope my review helps.

BadFlashProductions responds:

Wow mixed reviews on the music. Well some seemed to like it, some didn't. Can't please everyone. Thanks for the review.

Macca.

generally good

overall, the movie itself was good. but i can never really like something that has a myriad of stolen music and sounds. i mean it was filled with half second blurbs of stuff like the bat man theme, superman theme, chrono trigger sounds, and others i couldnt place but i know i've heard before. i'm not really tryin to burn you on that, just tone down the amount of sounds you use, and dont make it so fast paced with how you use em.

BadFlashProductions responds:

You know that's a very good review. We will work on our sound effects. And well picked up. To be fair good resources are scarce, so sometimes we are stuck with what we can salvage. But it seems sound is a recurring problem so it will be improved for future animations.
