uyfman is right, you do need lip syncing, and not those clock things, anyway it was a bit dull but the graphics and all made up for it, good work.

you could have made thier mouthes move or something.... good flash but you need to do lip syncing (however you spell that. i know nothing about flash except if it's a good one or not)
its a book not a short story
the book is called "The things they carried" . you should read it. the animation wasnt that bad but you should have chosen a better part to animate instead of that scene. maybe next time. i gave you a 2/5 because i liked the book. please try harder next time you have talent but chose a different scene from the novel.
Actually, I did read the book in my English class, and enjoyed it very much. As I said, this was an English project me and my friend made. We chose this chapter because we felt that it had the most definitive story feel to it. It was a good book, I'm glad you agree.
