Reviews for "MouseGame"

Nice

Very creative and a good game to pass the time.

Glad to hear it!

decent

Alright game. Being overly reproduced though. How it says at the end of the game that you cant believe someone would beat this. It does seem slightly easier than some of these mouse games. Theres one on here with like 60 levels. Its hard for me to tell how many levels were truely on here since it skipped around so much. The last level was pretty straight-forward though cause it didnt really jump around too much. There is some originality since I dont recall one of these types of games where there are multi-room levels. The anti-cheating thingy is good cause usually I just get bored and cheat, but this required some finesse. The anti-cheat function does make the collision boundaries wider though and makes it a little more annoying. I dont know how to create one without cheating available or at least never adventured to do so. Well...pretty good overall ~props~

You bring up some good points, I seriously didn't see too many people reaching the final screen but I guess the last level came out easier then how I had imagined it in my head.

Huh? That kind of confused me.

Well anyways thanks for the critique! I've been needing one.

Fantastic

This was a great game, the best games bring out the whole emotional spectrum in people. I felt tense as I moved my mouse through the spinning rectangles of the last level, I was overjoyed when I got to a more diffucult stage, I vomited in rage when I would make a stupid mistake at the end of a long level. Over 100 mouses lives and 700 seconds of my life were lost today(pathetic scores, I know) but I can walk away with a sense of satisfaction knowing I didn't give up through all the blood, tears and vomit. I voted 5, you deserve every point and I hope there will be a sequel to this game in the future.

johnfn responds:

Thanks for the review! You are just the person I was aiming for when I made this game and its a good thing that you came around to play it! Thanks a lot for the review (plus 100/700 is pretty darn good in comparison) and the 5. :)

BadFurDay in da house!

Oh lord no! You need to teach me how you do that. ^^

Yeah, I was kind surprised about it, and now it has 25K views too. Woot!

MOTHER**** I beat you!!

*collapses on floor*

I don't know what to say, really. This game was like a slice of heaven. Then the last level started kicking my butt. I swear in the last level there were times it said I died but didn't touch a wall, close but not touching. This usually happened on the left side of the screen.

a few suggestions:
**The green swithces act as toggles. That's retarded. There were about three times I touched it twice and got screwed.

**Add a pause key that can be used from the keyboard. obviously you can't use the mouse. The timer keeps running and that affects your score.

**Add a highscore board even if it's only personal bests.

**On a particular level I was repeatedly spawn-raped by the blob. Give the player a bit more time to react. Same goes for the spinner on that level. All I had time to think was: "I'm in the middle of the spinner...?" *THWACK*

100/100 score, best game ever

Then the last level started kicking my butt.

>:) What can I say? I wanted to make it an accomplish to fully beat the game. I might have gone slightly overboard, but when I was designing the last three at the beginning I was thinking the first person to beat the game should win a special prize. But then I made it a little easier ;)

I swear in the last level there were times it said I died but didn't touch a wall, close but not touching.

You are probably right about this. See its not exactly the ball that's tested for collision. It's actually the exact position of the point of the mouse cursor. When the ball attaches itself to your cursor, I believe its attached so the pointer of the mouse is at the top left of the mouse. So thats my fault. Sorry 'bout that!

Yeah. I noticed that right before I submitted. I think my thought process was "well, no one will notice". Proved me wrong ;) Keep in mind though, if you hit them again, they'll open back up.

Thats a good idea. I hesitated on that though because I thought some (most) people wouldn't want to play it fully more then once. I might do this next game in this style I make. But for now just jot them down I guess. :P..

Yeah... your right. Here I figured that after the first time you'd realize, okay, there's a blob comming to get me, better get moving. It still bothered a few people though. Definitely will fix anything like this in the future!

100/100 score, best game ever

Thanks a lot :)
