The reviews have been too harsh...
... Yes, some good points have been brought up, but I thing, generally speaking, the reviews for this game have been much too harsh. Far lesser games have earned higher scores and more praise. This a a great sprite platformer, reminds me a lot on the NES Mario and Donkey Kong games in terms of graphics. I sort of like that feel in a game that is meant for casual gaming. I think the 8-bit is a keeper here.
My favorite are the death scenes, pretty unexpected stuff from a game that looks like something I would have played as a little kid! Both violent and very funny.
This game needs sound, but it's not imperitive. Everyone on Newgrounds is always bitching about the music and sound in almost every single game on here. There is almost no way to suit everyone's taste, so listen to a CD, MP3, Net Radio or whatever you're listening to and quit your whining about the lack of sound!
My only issues are that the controls could respond alittle quicker and the game needs more levels that would increase in challenge, as it is now, it's not very challenging at all.
