Awesome graphics, but no sound?!
This was an awesome game. I loved the graphics, though the colour was lacking. Then again, it was cool that you did everything 8-bit. It looked like duck hunt. The spriting was of very good quality, you certainly thought of everything that could possibly happen. I wish that it had sound, though. Sound would have been an awesome addition to a game like this. The violence was pretty good, there was quite a bit in the game. Almost all of the enemies could kill you in a very violent way. Interactivity was excellent. You could do a ton of things in this game, and your environment was really something that should have alot of interactivity. I like the little touches, like when you're swinging below a platform and something walks over it, the monkey's eyes turn big, and he falls off, his hand has been stepped on. BUT WHY CANT YOU USE THE LADDERS?! The ladders look like the kind of thing that the monkey should be able to climb as well as humans. This game was HILARIOUS. I loved the deaths, and sometimes you could get multiple deaths in one life (eg. you get poo thrown on you, then a gorilla comes up to you, rips off your arm and beats you to death with it). What isn't funny about a game with monkeys throwing poo? Lastly, the controls bugged me. I hated holding A to run, because sometimes I would throw poo by accident, and miss something. The bottom line: awesome game, but make a sequel with a better way to run and sound, and I'll vote 10.
