Reviews for "Lost in a Dream Episode 1"

Reminds me of Lewis Carroll

Superb camera angles... the views helps set this film apart from flash, giving it more fluidity and overall richness in the experience. One gripe I have is the quality adjustment during the film- I know it's done to maximize the FPS on different machines, but while I know mine can handle the HighQ, it often goes to low-quality for a few seconds anyway. I'd personally prefer to sacrifice FPS for AntiAlias to maintain the feel of the film. Really imaginative, overall.

...Oh my.

Um... woah. That was incredible. The animation was choppy here-and-there, and the sound and voice acting could have been a tad better, but the graphics and the mastery of spacial effects have me awestruck. I really, REALLY want to see the next episode, and I can't say that for very many flash videos. The scope of the story is also quite unique and intriguing. Waiting for the next episode to come out is going to be tough.
This is going strait to the front page, beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Can you say "alice?"

Even though you've obviously watched "Alice in Wonderland" a few too many times I still gave ya a 5... it was well done and it looks like you put a lot of time into it. I like the animation, but I can't figure out why the statue waits until after the kid's pretty much aslepp to say "No, don't!" Dunno, I'm just weird ;) Great Work.

It was really cool and I cant wait till the II!

I think its a kewl idea! The ending was very kewl, and im definitely going to check out Lost in a Dream II! :D!

I'm impressed...

Okay, you have a story, and an interesting one at that. I was totally immersed in it. But it moves to fast, and the characters don't act realistically. I would say your doing an excellent job, but make the second episode longer, with more dialogue.

Technically speaking, this is a great achievement. Not very many people can create a working Flash with graphics like that. However, I would work on your animation. Not character faces or anything, those are okay, although lip syncing could be better. I'm talking about things like walking, or tress blowing about, stuff like that. I also think the graphics are a sort of mish-mash of several styles, which can be pulled off, but you're not doing a very good job of it. Sound is not something to be messed with, that aspect of your Flash is perfect.

In conclusion, I'd say that this is some of the best stuff I've ever seen, rivaling "There she is" and the "Decline of Video Gaming" series. Excellent work, I can't wait for the second episode.
