nice idea, but
I get the joke, I think, but it needs to be faster paced. Work on smoothing out the animation, and trying to pack in more action.

At least it brought back Sega Genesis For Me.
Personally, I like Sonic, because a lot of my nostalgia is his attitude and speed(and uplifting musical score), he was cooler then Mario(even so Mario is an all star handyman).
But for an honest review, this cannot remain on the portal because it is not an exceptional sprite movie.

I liked the fact you used all the old sonic graphics and noises.. that was cool, though i did wonder why he was kinda slow. Pretty cool, though.

The music was kinda, what is the word... off with the whole thing. Nice try though, it's a good sprite movie but it just looks like it was thrown together in 3 hours. You get what you put into it..
