Reviews for "Dragon Wizard"

Blow your mind shooter

Sounds are terrible though.

Excellent!!

The graphics are pretty much top notch, although the death animations of the foes could stand to be less rectangular in nature. Regrettably, my comp can't run the game in the best possible fashion, but at least it's smooth and in sync, unlike some of the other games out there where timing issues frequently occur. 'Grats on the eXtreme programming, and the game was highly enjoyable and moderately challenging =D

The music (and i guess some people would complain about lack of monster variety) was getting pretty repetitive after about 10 levels or so, even though they're good action-style flavors, the tracks are just too short. I could swear that some of the game elements were just thrown in to force change on the player, a challenge in of itself but more detracting than actually helping (I don't have problems with this for the purposes of the game that you've made it for.)

I've noticed that you've toned up the difficulty of the game quite a bit since last I checked. Even though it's more difficult, the rewards are substantially greater when played well (for those that don't, suks to be you I guess) and this might be a sort of consideration you need to take on when people start accounts in this "Race War Kingdoms" game (ambiguity has intrigued me to test this mmorpg.) Also, in the original version, the devil birds were found only in the last two levels. In the current version, some of the few beginning levels had one or two of these freaks, which proved near impossible to kill and running into it was fatal. These guys shouldn't appear in the beginning of the game. One last detail: why are there ground weapons in the river?

Those are all the great points of the game, and the little things that need working on. Though there is a bit of professional game development skill behind this flash, you can improve.

WOW

THAT WAS GREAT.

Addictive and has potential

The game is addictive and definitely has potential. I found a glitch with movement though. When I'm pressing the left button I can still move up and down, but when I press right I can't and can't go right if if I'm pressing up or down. This has caused serious manuevering issues. I also found that I can't use the num pad for selecting weapons (yes I checked num lock) and think that should be included. Moving away from my own technical concerns, I loved the setting. I really like side scrolling shooters like these, but the wizard on a dragon made for a much appreciated change of pace. As far as gameplay is concerned, I regret to say I haven't gotten very far in the game. I don't like the way wind is used since I found the sudden shifts in speed and mobility to be difficult to compensate for. Also, I found the smal amount of starting gold to be very confining. I think that increasing this would allow players to customize their gameplay styles early on and make for a more rewarding and educational experience in the early game.

This is great.

You know , one day I thought of that the new PSP that came out should have a game that includes 20-30 of the best games in newgrounds , if sony does that ( whicH I doubt ) this will be one because this game is great. I deserves a 10/10 and 5/5 oviuosly. This could have been to on the GBA even though I din't like the GBA but this game will be great to have it portable.
