I haven't watched any Naruto flash yet, but using sprites may be a good way to go about doing it.
This was obviously a trailer to show off what you can do more than anything, but it was still a good trailer for that.
If you're going to make this into a series, go for it. I'd say that you could do some good with the skills you've got here.
