Gorgeous art, great voice acting, but needs work.
Fire and foremost, I loved the voice actors implemented. I'm a fan of Omahdon and enjoyed all the voice talent involved. The artwork was beutiful - truly stunning considering what is on Newgrounds. The story was interesting and cryptic - little was revealed and I was left wanting more. That's all good. I saw two major problems, however. The animation was sometimes very fluid and attractive, such how ______ wrote or the computer screens moved. However, when characters were speaking or there were sound effects accompanying the flash, the animation was atrocious; tt looks worse than a Godzilla dub.
My second complaint is the script. The concepts are all good, but the script badly needs some editing. Characters speak in peculiar ways. This is especially bad when dramatic music comes on - the characters should speak dramatically to match the music.
Unless they were directed not to, the voice actors should have used more emotion in their voices during the dramatic moments. It feels 'wrong' when characters are speaking calm (almost casually) about devious dealings when there is dramatic music playing. I'd also stress a bit more emphasis on enunciation, particularly on t/d sounds. This is something I know Omahdon has done in the past (it's noticably better now), but Patrick Brunn and Mizura should also try and be a tad clearer.
This flash has some wonderful things going for it - spectacular art, great voice talent, and an interesting plot. Hopefully in the next installment we'll see consistently fluid animation, an attempt at lip-synching, and some more editing. Hell, if you wanted it, I'd even do it.
