"Remake"?
This reminds me of course of another game that works exactly like this one. called Black Night, or like something like that. But that you already knew. I guess that the simplicity is what makes this game what it is, therefore, any more moves would maybe not be necessary?
It was although necessary with upgrades in weapons, but these upgrades in weapons doesn't do any less or more damage since every creature require only one hit. that, also a proof of the simplicity. The game itself is obviously built up this way. A game of perfect flow is what it is. I would have wished though, that you could have been given the option to continue at the beginning of the level that you died at.
Very Well Done
Though i found that having the game on rails was a bit restricting as i could never move, making the game a matter of knowing when to click, i couldn't help but enjoy playing this submission, Kudois to you for this great job my friend.
