I kinda like to think he came down looking for a fight but when he saw it was chained up and thus unfair, now he's trying to calm it down long enough to break it's chains.

I like this one a lot. It prompts me to question whats happening in the scene. Why is the dragon chained up? Why is the knight signalling to halt, are they fighting? That kind of thing.
