Reviews for "Cold as Ice ep. 07"

Looks like the last one for now...

You have quite the thing going here, this is getting to be rather, err...BIG! I aint much for considering quality of art, I'm a writer not an artist, so I tend to give points on what the depth and style of the story amount to. CAI may be simple, but like I mentioned earlier, you leave it simple enough and you can take it anywhere you choose!

(What? no ninja?)

okay

Very cool background music. Graphics looked decent. This movie reminds me of Dragon Ball z kind of. The way the characters are drawn and they all fight each other. I liked how you used some heavy dramatic music for that one fight scene. nice movie

Rule responds:

Thanks very much YoinK_VineS. I tried to make it like one of those fights with an opera song at the end, but I couldn't. Thanks for the review.

BTW, any Ideas on how to make the background drawings better? I make them in photoshop, because I heard some artists actually do that.

Not bad.

The drawings of the characters were all right. Not the best, but not bad. A lot of the backgrounds were just horrid, though. Some of them consisted of only like 4 lines. Considering how you drew the people, I think you could have drawn some of the backgrounds better if you spent more time on them.

The animation wasn't very good. Many parts looked extremely unnatural, and other parts were just really weird looking. There were also a couple times when it seemed more like there were just a bunch of pictures of the guys alternating every second, or in other words, sometimes there really didn't seem to be any animating going on.

The sound was possibly the worst thing in the movie. It was like the same couple of 5 second songs starting and stopping over and over again, and that got VERY annoying after a while. Besides the music, there were just punch sounds and such. It wasn't bad, but it was nothing special either. Pretty basic.

I gave interactivity a 4 for the little menu at the beginning and the clickable stuff at the end. The menu, although you did a decent job on it, had a TON of grammar mistakes in the character bios. I suggest you take a look at them and try to fix them up a little. Some of it was actually a little hard to read. Another minor problem with the menu was how you had to click on the letters, rather than making a small area around the word clickable. 4 in interactivity also for the pause/play options during the movie. That was a nice feature to include.

Keep in mind that a 4 for interactivity isn't actually that bad, considering it's not a game.

Overall, the movie was okay. I can't truthfully say that I'm looking forward to the next one, but I'll take a look if I see it in the portal. Keep trying. You'll get better. =D

Rule responds:

Wow.
What a nice review.
I'm knida still a new one when it comes to flash. I'm crap at animating, and I suppose drawing backgrounds in photoshop was a bad idea?
Ok.
The Interactive I was aiming for because I was thinking of a way to get points in that. And I'll fix up things in the bio. Really, thank you for the review.

Halving... >:(

Even though the halving of these movies does really suck, if you have to do it, then Ok. Anyways, I didn't think it was the greatest of your flash. It could be a bit longer and the storyline could also use improvement. As far as graphics go, though, nice job!

Rule responds:

Yeah, halving sucks.
But, I'll find a way to put all 2 parts together and lower the filesize.

wow...um....yeah

I guess I should watch 1-6 to know wtf is going on, but the confusion did not affect my judgement. Sound was ok, story reminded me of DBZ, but the graphics bothered me the most. Keep working on that. I gave a 5 for humor because I laughed at your artistic ability. I'm sorry, I'm just a right bastard:(.
Sooooo, go work on that, like now...
